Game Rules

Three Legged Race

There will be three divisions with a maximum 15 teams per division.  Division one:  ages 7 and under; division two:  ages 8 to 12; division three:  ages over 12.

Objective:  navigate on a reasonably straight line from a starting point to the finish line without interfering with other contestants.

Rules:  There will be a judge in charge at the starting point and a judge at the finish line to identify the winner.  Depending on the number of teams signed up there may be more then one heat.  If so there will be a “run off” between the winners of each heat to determine the overall champion.  Two people are tied together and represent a team.  Pairs remain tied together from the start point until crossing the finish line.  Removing the binding disqualifies the pair from winning the race.  Interfering with other contestants will also result in disqualification.  The finish line judge is the sole determiner of the winner and cannot be challenged.  The winning team, as declared by the finish line judge, will each receive a $25 gift certificate which will be awarded on stage after all games are completed.

Egg Toss

There will be a manimun of 24 teams (two persons per team).  The teams may be divided into heats.  The team who completes the egg toss the greatest distance from each other is the winner. Team members may want to bring a smock to protect their clothes from egg splattering.

Objective:  To toss a raw egg between the two members of a team increasing the distance after each successful toss (successful means your team member caught the toss without the raw egg breaking).  The last team with an unbroken egg wins.

Rules:  Follow the directions of the judge running the game.  After getting a raw egg from the judge each team will toss the egg to their partner when instructed to do so by the judge.  If, after the first round, your egg remains unbroken the judge will add distance and each remaining team will continue to toss the egg to their teammate.  Distance will continue to increase until only one team remains with an unbroken egg and shall be declared the winner.  If one team misses the toss and the egg hits the ground without breaking the team is still in the contest and may continue play.  Anyone caught with a hard boiled egg shall be disqualified.  The game judge is the sole determiner of the winner and cannot be challenged.  The winning team as declared by the judge will each receive a $25 gift certificate which will be awarded on stage after all games are completed.

Bean Bag Toss

This game will be played by teams consisting of two people.  There will be bean bags provided and a board with a hole in it for each constant to toss the bag through.  Points are awarded and the game is played to 21 points but the winning team must win by two points.

Objective:  To be the first team scoring 21 points (a team must win by two points) by tossing the bean bag onto or through the hole in the board.

Rules:  One player from each team stands on the opposite ends directly across from his/her teammate.  A round consists of only one person from each team throwing at a time.  The person who most recently scored points will throw first during a round.  A legal throw consists of a person staying behind the front edge of the board on their side of the board.  If a player steps beyond the front of the board that throw is disqualified.  Whichever player is throwing will toss all their bean bags before the opposing team tosses theirs.  Both teams throw to complete a round.  Knocking a bean bag off the board is legal and that bag would no longer qualify for points.  The team receives one point for each bag remaining on the board and three points for tossing the bean bag through the hole in the board.  Net points are added to the teams score.  If one team accumulates eleven points without the other team scoring a point the team with eleven points wins.   The first team to twenty-one by two will be declared the winner.  The judge has sole discretion and his/her ruling(s) is final and cannot be challenged.  The winning team as declared by the judge will each receive a $25 gift certificate which will be awarded on stage after all games are completed.
